The veteran telecasting star told the Radio Times: "I was considering giving up before Belgrade, and now I give birth to say I'm very doubtful about ever wanting to do Eurovision again.

"I've had so much playfulness, but I think it's time for someone else to exact over."

Speaking around the vote patterns in Eurovision, he said: "The only way the UK will of all time regain any respectability is if we get a major British star - Robbie Williams, Take That, God knows there are enough of them - to represent us, and then citizenry will get to balloting for us."

Angelina Jolie's Father 'Excited' About Meeting Twins

Angelina Jolie’s father Jon Voight is looking forward to becoming a grandfather again after the pair took steps towards healing their longterm rift.

The heavily pregnant actress recently revealed she was back in contact with her dad, six years after she severed ties when he told a TV interview she had "severe emotional problems".

And Voight can't wait to embrace the twins Jolie is expecting with partner Brad Pitt.

He says, "The babies haven't come yet but am I looking forward to it, yes I am. Right now I just want those babies to be healthy and for the mommy to be healthy. When they come I'm going to be so excited."

And Voight has every confidence that his superstar daughter can cope with the trials of raising twin babies, "Twins are a definite handful.

"It's a huge deal. You've just got two kids and if one starts crying then you starting taking that one and then the other one - oh boy, you have to be young and strong to take care of twins.

"But Angie can handle it."

ASHES TO ASHES – SERIES 1
****

Opinion could hardly be more divided about this time-travelling drama, the
follow-up to Life On Mars.

It was panned by critics but is top of Amazon’s chart and has been nominated
for every gong going, including Baftas.

Whatever your view, one thing is for sure – DCI Gene Hunt, played by Phil
Glenister, is one of the great TV characters.

Ashes To Ashes finds him in a different world. It’s the 1980s and he can’t get
away with old-school policing any more.

Plus – shock, horror – he has to work with a sassy woman, DI Alex Drake
(Keeley Hawes), who is actually from 2008 but finds herself back in time
after being shot.

The mystery surrounding Alex’s time travel, along with the surreal elements,
might not be everybody’s cup of tea.

But for Gene Hunt, a sharp script, spectacular filming and a gorgeous
soundtrack, Ashes To Ashes is well worth a buy.
CHARLIE WILSON’S WAR (15) ***
Nominated but overlooked at the Oscars, Charlie Wilson’s War wasn’t a huge hit
at the box office but should find a newly appreciative audience on DVD.

Tom Hanks plays the Charlie Wilson of the title, a Texas Congressman first
seen in the early 1980s lying in a hot tub surrounded by strippers.

But despite the fun and games, his attention is attracted by a new report from
Afghanistan, which is being invaded by the Soviet Union.

Together with wealthy Joanne (Julia Roberts) and CIA agent Gust Avrakotos (the
ever-reliable Philip Seymour Hoffman), Charlie starts a secret political war
to defeat the Soviets.

It’s not historically accurate but it’s a light-hearted look at that era, with
terrific performances from three Hollywood heavyweights.
TCT – CONCERTS AT THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL (E)
***

The Teenage Cancer Trust concerts, the brainchild of Roger Daltrey, have
become a regular fixture.

This year saw The Who, Kaiser Chiefs, The Coral, The Cure, The View, Bloc
Party, The Bees and Kasabian all taking turns.

So you can enjoy top-class entertainment, knowing you are helping to raise
money for Teenage Cancer Trust units in NHS hospitals.

Sheen fails in bid to stop Richards TV show

Actor Charlie Sheen has lost a bid to prevent his ex-wife Denise Richards from including their two daughters in a new reality TV show, after a Los Angeles judge ruled in the actress' favour.
Sheen is objecting to letting the former couple's girls, three-year-old Sam and two-year-old Lola, take part in the TV programme.
But after a closed hearing at the Los Angeles family court on Tuesday, Commissioner Harvey A Silberman ruled Richards was allowed to include the children in the programme, subject to a number of rules.
The details of which have yet to be released.
Richards was represented in court by her attorney, who participated via telephone, while Sheen attended the hearing with his lawyer.
The TV show will reportedly revolve around Richards' life as a working single mum in Hollywood.

Mumm-Ra split up

Sussex indie rockers Mumm-Ra have announced that they have split up.

The five-piece, who played on the Shockwaves NME Indie Rock Tour last year alongside The Automatic, The View and The Horrors, posted the announcement on the Mumm-Ra MySpace page. They did not reveal the specific reason behind their decision.

In the announcement they thanked fans for their support of the band, who released their only album, 'These Things Move In Threes', in May last year. They suggested that the individual band members are likely to return to music soon.

The announcement read: "After seven years, 11 months and 21 days of writing and playing music together us Mumm-Ra boys have decided our journey as a band has come to an end.

"It has without doubt been the most fantastic adventure any of us could possibly have imagined all those years ago, when the rather naive idea to form a band sprang from our young minds and led us to the nearest practise room.

"Since then we have eaten in skyscrapers in Tokyo, danced with Tottenham fans in Cologne, made a video in Hollywood, posed with the playboy bunnies in Barcelona, met real life rednecks in Texas, had street fights with The View, played Glastonbury, rocked the NME tour to pieces, supported The Killers, The Kooks and Kaiser Chiefs around Europe and generally just had the most incredible time along the way.

"We would like to thank every single person who has supported us over the years whether it be through buying our album, coming to our gigs or just giving us a listen. No doubt various members will have new projects up and running in the near future. But until then..."

Sir Paul Mccartney - Mills Ordered To Remove Tent From Garden

SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY's ex-wife HEATHER MILLS has reportedly been ordered to remove a large white marquee from her back garden - following a series of complaints from her neighbours.

The former glamour model is believed to have erected the tent at her $6.4 million (GBP3.2 million) home in East Sussex, England, for her 40th birthday party in January (08).

But the structure has remained in place ever since, prompting local residents to lodge objections with government officials.

And Mills is now set to be ordered to remove the marquee after the district council ruled in favour of her neighbours.

According to British newspaper the Daily Star, officials have given Mills one month to remove the offending item and an enforcement order will be signed on Thursday (22May08).
